Arvids is a multi disciplinary visual creative having worked through various digital media from web design to graphic design from new media installations to typography, but in recent years has settled with videography as his main occupation. He creates promotional videos for various industries as well as pursues personal projects that are on the crossroads between nature/adventure documentary and experimental art.
Photography has been a hobby of his ever since he got a film camera 20 years ago. Passion about nature, travel and adventures is what shapes his body of work. Finding ever new paths and experimenting with existing ones is what drives him forward. In his portfolio you’ll find everything from big aerial landscapes to long exposure night photography to experiments with form and light. Outdoor adventures are an important ingredient of his lifestyle and are the vehicles for his work. He believes that in order to capture nature, one has to experience it first hand, otherwise it doesn’t ‘open up’ to mere by-passers.
